Dealing Drugs on the DS:Chinatown Wars Similar to GTA IV
Parents are lighting their torches and grabbing their pitch forks and heading over to Rockstar Studios. Ever since the first Grand Theft Auto III came out, parents have been speaking out against Rockstar, which I understand since the gameplay is pretty mature. GTA III: San Andreas even received a Adults Only rating, a step above the usual Mature rating, after the creation of the "Hot Coffee" mod. "Hot Coffee" allowed the player to have graphic sex in the game, this is in addition to the alcohol consumption, soliciting prostitutes, robbing banks, and murdering innocent people (what I like to call mindless violence).
What makes Chinatown Wars so abominable, in addition to the aforementioned violence, to parents is the addition of a drug dealing minigame, while the aspect drugs were in previous games, not to the extent that we've seen in Chinatown Wars. You can deal drugs like marijuana, heroin, and LSD.
According 1Up, Chinatown Wars features a large scale map like that of GTA IV and a map that displays the availability and the demand for drugs around Liberty City. You can make money by, buying drugs for cheap in one region and sell them for more money in another neighborhood, to make money.
There is one non violent innovation that won't anger parents, you can call a cab in Chinatown Wars by whistling into the DS's built in microphone.
Bottom Line: Although, there aren't any details on a release date, I looking forward to more news on Chinatown Wars and the controversy surrounding the gameplay.
