Bundles of Joy: Xbox 360 Guitar Hero Package

Microsoft's latest attempt at convincing us the 360 is worth anything

Okay, we can all agree that the Xbox 360 is a crappy product. I've been through at least 2 Xbox 360 and it's destroyed several of my video games. There has been a large outcry in the gaming community against Microsoft for knowingly making a faulty product. So with that aside, let's talk about how Microsoft is trying to woo us over with a crappy product. In previous years, they have resorted to slashing the prices and releasing the same crappy product with a bigger hard drive and a higher price.

But this time round Microsoft tried to market the 360 by bundling with Guitar Hero III with a full sized guitar, in addition to Lego Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda. This bundle is actually appealing to because not only do you get Guitar Hero III with a guitar, which is about $80 but you also get two crappy video games which are sold at $60 each, for $350. Only $50 dollars more than the Xbox 360 Pro package. You pay only $50 more for a items potentially worth $200. However there is one downside, this bundle is only available a Sam's Club, so that means you'll have to order it online or have a Sam's Club membership to buy it. The offer is still tempting, the Guitar Hero series have commanded a large fan base as well as a number of worthless clones.

Bottomline: Be wary of the Xbox 360, but if you like Guitar Hero and willing to dish out an extra $50 than by all means go for it.

Great post. I completely agree! I have them both and as fun as Guitar Hero is, it isn't worth the money. As pricey as the game is, the stores seem to always be running out of them to this day, which amazes me. Just give it a year or so and the price will go way down as something new and better comes out...like always.

Something to say?
