Citizens of Grand Theft Auto: "It's a Hard Knock Life for Us"

You think you had it rough? Imagine living in Liberty City, the haven for degenerates, the spawn for criminals, and the clubhouse to the scum of the world's underbelly. Where criminals will kill you for a nickel and run you over for no good reason.

The Grand Theft Auto series explores the world of organized crime in major cities, but what makes the series so compelling is the sandbox gameplay. The entire city is your playground. You can do anything, from drive around and explore, eat hotdogs, go on dates, or work the organized crime families in your city. Over the years Grand Theft Auto has a attracted a lot of attention. From the original Grand Theft Auto III's new violent and sexual content to Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas' hot coffee mod. However the latest installment in the series, Grand Theft Auto IV, takes the player back to Liberty City, where the original GTA III took place. The player assumes the role of Niko Bellic an immigrant seeking a new life in the United States.

So besides the graphic violence and the sexual content, the game is actually really good. Even if you took both of them away, I would still play the series. The number one reason is the story line, while some like to drive around and perform random acts of violence, they get bored. The one thing that stops me from putting down the controller is the immersive story line. There's twists and turns, betrayal, romance, and other plot themes that you might expect from movies like The Godfather. But if you think the mindless violence is all in good fun... continue reading....

So back to the original intent of this post. I was surfing around the waves of the internet and I happened upon an IGN article entitled Citizens of Grand Theft Auto Video Series. And I thought GTA was finished until Grand Theft Auto V. Thankfully I was wrong. The series is hilarious because they take the mindless violence, from the video game and translate it into the real world. Citizens of Grand Theft Auto is produced by Black 20, and Black 20 actually does a good job with the filming as well as very good editing. While the gore and violence may seem cheesy, I can understand because, killing actors and finding replacements is tough.

So if you honestly have nothing better to do than read this blog you might as well go check out Citizens of Grand Theft Auto. My personal favorites are "Driveby" and "The Date"... so seriously take a look.

I read this your guys Post and i completely agree. Ha that would really suck if anyone had to live in the type of society that the citizens of Liberty City live in. I watched the you tube clips and couldn't help but laugh at them, because while watching the clip I realized that is exactly what happens in the game it was just funny, I thought to see how it would look in reality. What I also agree with is the fact that yea the game is fun you can do whatever, but I too would still play the game if the sexual content and violence were taken out and the reason being is because the story line is so good.

Something to say?
