You all remember Animal Crossing, don't you? It was one of the greatest games on the GameCube (the kind of game that is the reason you buy a certain console). Well there's a new one out, Animal Crossing City Folk. If it were not so close to Christmas, I would already have bought myself a copy (but I'm hard enough to shop for as is).

I don't know a whole lot of specifics on what exactly is new about it. The one thing that the commercials make very obvious (and that I think is the best thing they could have done for the game) is that it not only utilizes the Internet, but that it also allows multiplayer. For a while there my friends and I played this game constantly, but we hated having to switch back and forth (I even went so far as to take my GameCube over to my friends house once to get around that).

As far as the rest of the game, it looks like you can do all the tons of things that were in the first game (fishing, shopping, traveling, etc.). In my opinion this follow up looks like a solid game and a great improvement over and already good game. Sorry about the lack of real information though, this post is mostly just about how excited I am (yeah so I'm feeling lazy, whatever), you can follow the links to learn real stuff if you want.
